Siren for Linux 3.14 Full Description
Siren renames, moves and copies files using an expression. A lot of information associated to a file can be used: name, extension, dates, selection number. Other information is extracted from it according to its type: audio, video, image (standard and RAW), EXIF, IPTC, Office document, PDF, HTML, executable, DV AVI, karaoke, torrent and URL.
Many different operations can be performed on character strings. A complete directory tree can be processed. Images can be viewed. For example, the expression can be: %ub.mp3 can be used to change a file name to uppercase with the MP3 extension.
In an expression a lot of information associated to a file can be used
Name, base name, extension, size, dates et times, dos name, paths etc.
Selection number (not depending on the position of the file in the list)
Numeric or non numeric parts of the name

Monitor changes in current directory. It even takes in charge the modifications done by Siren. The directory tree is not monitored
Support of some new file types: fon : font file (Windows only), snd : sound file
"Insert into expression" option added in the right-click menu of completion windows
