I bought this software because my QB2008 file was corrupted and wouldn't verify or rebuild although it would still open. I needed to be able to rebuild the file so that I could convert the file to QB2012. The software was easy to download, install and operate and told me it had repaired the file. However, when I went to rebuild/verify there was no change and the file still can't be converted. When I contacted Stellar the support response was as follows''We would like to inform you that during the repair process, if there are any items which are beyond repair, the software will skip those items as those items will make the file unusable even after repair. We would also like to inform you that QuickBooks, while verifying the file, will search for complete data integrity and if any of the data is missing it will not complete the process. This depends on the corruption level in file to file and In this case, this would be the best possible recovery.'
I didn't think much of that so asked for a refund and got this
'Our software has completely repaired the file according to the previewed result. We have clearly mentioned the reasons on our previous email about the verification problem you are facing with the file. The recovery done by our software is the best possible recovery.'
So if you buy this, it might get an unuseable file going again but may still leave you with a file which can't be verified/rebuilt and therefore can't be upgraded to the next version of QB and that means you're stuck on old Versions of QB which will eventually be obsolete as Intuit will stop supporting them after about 3 years.
