PrintCapture 4.2.5 Full Description

PrintCapture is a reliable program that will allow you to capture the printer or plotter hardcopy output from your logic analyzer, oscilloscope or spectrum analyzer. It processes raw HPGL (Hewlett Packard Graphics Language), PCL (Printer Control Language), or Epson graphics data from your test equipment and creates a graphics image file that can easily be inserted into a word processor to document your hardware design.

PrintCapture can be used for troubleshooting, product design reviews, product documentation, student lab assignments, and more.

PrintCapture can launch your current image editor, drag and drop the image into another Windows program, copy the image to the clipboard, resize the image (manually and automatically), rotate the image (manually and automatically), set the print resolution of the image (manually and automatically), automatically print the image, save and restore configurations for different test equipment, and more.

New Release
Some Windows 7, and possibly some Windows Vista systems, were experiencing start-up initialization problems. It appears that on these systems PrintCapture was not able to save its settings in the Registry. We added code to detect the Registry access problem, display a notification message during start-up, and then use an INI file for storing its settings. Using an INI file for storing program settings is considered "bad form" by just about everyone.

This problem appears to be related to the advanced security settings for a user. Especially in the Registry permissions settings for a user that can be seen with the Registry Editor. You may have to use your IT personnel to help resolve this issue. More information can be found in PrintCapture's on-line help topic "PrintCapture Settings Storage Location" in the "Known Problems and Limitations Page".
