MagnetSVN is a Microsoft Office add-in designed to track changes in Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010 documents.
Features:
MagnetSVN supports three most important Subversion commands in Microsoft Office:
· Commit to put document's changes into repository;
· Update to apply changes from repository back to the document;
· Revert to undo changes made to the document since last update.
MagnetSVN supports several additional commands:
· Resolve Modification Conflicts while updating locally modified file;
· Cleanup internal Subversion data to recover from failed commands;
· Copy Link to copy the repository link of an open document into the clipboard.
Local Repository Creation:
· MagnetSVN allows you to create a local Subversion repository on your computer during installation.
Working Copy Creation for Local or Remote Repository:
· During MagnetSVN installation, you can also create Subversion's working copy for repository residing on a local disk or URL.
Smart Document Reloading:
· MagnetSVN blocks the Microsoft Office interface while a Subversion command executes in the background in order to prevent undesired modifications to the document. After the background process ends, MagnetSVN reloads the document in a special way. It prevents the loss of document caret position and other properties. MagnetSVN saves you from hassle of closing and reopening Microsoft Office documents manually on every Subversion update command.
